K. Subramanyam MD

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Geriatrics

Dr. Subramanyam, the senior Gastroenterologist in the Coastal GI Group, has been in private practice in the Clear Lake - Texas City - Galveston County area for nearly 30 years. He graduated from Madras Medical College, one of the premier Medical Schools in India, second in his class and came to the United States in 1976.

After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at Howard University/DC General hospital and a Fellowship at UTMB Galveston, Dr. Subramanyam joined the faculty at UTMB where he was an Associate Professor of Medicine. He participated in the training of post-doctoral Fellows and was involved in Clinical Research and Teaching. He has published many scientific papers in peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Subramanyam is proficient in most GI Procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy and ERCP to name a few.
